1 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. cocoa
2 T. butter or marg, melted
2 t. baking powder
1 t. vanilla extract
1/4 t. salt
1 3/4 c. hot water
2 T. cocoa
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
whipped cream or ice cream
Combine first 9 ingredients; stir well.
Spread batter evenly in an ungreased 11" by 7" by 2" baking pan.
Combine hot water, brown sugar and 2 T. cocoa; stir well.
Pour mixture over batter; bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
Top each serving with whipped or ice cream.
(Hidden beneath the brownie layer is a chocolate sauce to spoon over each serving.)
